Julianna & Ser Jo —Music That Inspires Learning
For more than 20 years, Julianna & Ser Jo have been creating music and educational materials with one shared purpose: to make learning music clear, inspiring and enjoyable. Julianna is a pianist, teacher and composer; Ser Jo is a choirmaster, teacher and composer. Together, they combine piano, voice, composition and music education. Their creative partnership has resulted in more than 50 educational music books and learning materials designed for independent study, practice and teaching. A key idea behind their work is the connection between playing, singing and listening. Their goal is to help learners hear, understand and feel music — and discover the joy of creating it themselves.

Our Philosophy — Learn to Hear, Feel and Create
The idea of creating a unique melody shaped by the movement of sound and rhythm has guided the educational approach of Julianna & Ser Jo for many years. Their learning materials bring together listening, reading music, singing, playing, rhythm and ear training, helping learners gradually understand the language of music and express their own musical ideas.
Their approach places the musical ear at the heart of learning. The goal is not simply to recognise notes, but to hear relationships between sounds, understand melodies and gain the confidence to play, sing, improvise and create independently.
Above all, their books are designed to inspire something that goes beyond exercises and technique — a lasting love of music.
Because when a person learns not only how to play or sing, but also how to listen, feel and understand, music can become a companion for life.
