Description
Vocal Warm-Ups – Module 2 focuses on one of the most important skills for every singer: accurate intonation. Students learn to hear musical intervals, sing with greater pitch precision, and develop reliable vocal control through carefully structured warm-up exercises.
The module explains the relationship between melody and musical intervals. Students become familiar with unisons, seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths, sevenths, and octaves, learning how these distances influence melodic movement and pitch accuracy. The theoretical material is immediately reinforced through practical singing exercises.
The course includes eight progressive vocal warm-ups designed to train major and minor seconds, coordinate vowel combinations, improve diction, strengthen breath control, develop legato singing, balance vowel resonance, and create smooth transitions between sounds. Each exercise includes methodological explanations, musical notation, piano accompaniment, professionally recorded audio tracks, and step-by-step practice recommendations.
Students also explore the role of the lips, tongue, jaw, and vowels in vocal production. Special attention is given to clear pronunciation, vowel shaping, dynamic control, vocal attacks, and coordination between singing and instrumental accompaniment. Gradually, students learn to combine singing with piano playing, strengthening musical independence and ear training.
The module also introduces practical methods for learning songs, working on difficult passages, practicing with accompaniment, and building performance confidence. By completing Module 2, students develop stronger intonation, better interval recognition, clearer diction, more consistent vocal production, and greater confidence in both singing and self-accompaniment.
